Real [Feb. 23rd, 2004|02:16 pm]

[music |Jesus Jones: "Real, Real, Real"]

I've been a bitch to certain people who didn't deserve it. I do regret it. Some people get caught in the crossfire. Others don't seem to make sense and make me feel like they are deceiving me, which causes me to get defensive. I'm not a very nice person when I'm being defensive. It's not always their fault. It is sometimes mine too, and I am sorry.

I do, however, refuse to change my opinions for the purpose of becoming more "popular". Sorry, that's just not me.

Just because I point something out in someone that is not necessarily good, it doesn't mean I am trying to attack them.

As far as Craig, Berlin, and Brandon are concerned, I just flat out don't want to have anything to do with them. Period. End of story. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. If that reflects poorly on me or makes me look bad, so be it. I don't care if you want to be friends with them, just as long as you don't expect me to do the same. To me, the bad outweighs the good with them and I don't want to be another casualty of the bad.

There are people who aren't as nice as they seem, just like there are people who are more nice than they seem.

Some people should question who they consider to be "real". Maybe they should question what "real" means to them as well. Even I question what is "real". It gives new perspective to things in my life besides from just the people in it.

I don't like seeing people complain about how others are when the people they are friends with exemplify those very same complaints. It doesn't make much sense to me. If you surround yourself with friends who project something you dislike, you are going to be plagued by that certain something. Isn't that obvious?

It sucks that I missed celebrating Janelle's birthday. I just really did not feel like being out at the club with all of those people.

Health insurance is a bitch. We need a president that will do something to regulate those stupid insurance companies that constantly fuck up people's lives.

A Much Needed Long Night [Feb. 22nd, 2004|05:25 pm]

[music |Lycia: "Frozen"]

Last night I noticed my friend Kristenshyystarr was upset, so I went over to her place to help make her feel better and hang out for a bit. Since I hadn't planned on going anywhere last night, it was a kind of spur of the moment decision. One that I don't regret making.
She and I watched the movie "Donnie Darko", which was fucking awesome! Afterwards, I gave her a tarot reading while sipping on Mountain Dew and having various conversations with her. She also showed me a really odd video by VAST for the song "Pretty When You Cry" and a cheesy video by The Darkness. The VAST video was almost as weird as Donnie Darko, so I enjoyed watching it as well. I think I was at her place till after 5 in the morning. It was really good to hang out with her, and be somewhere other than my house or a club for a night.

I love how accurate my cards can be. Kristen and I were talking about a mutual friend last night, and this friend came up as Queen of Pentacles. I just looked up this friend's chart, and she just happens to have a Moon in Capricorn. hehe

The whole Pink Floyd thing didn't happen.

I have nothing against vegetarianism. However, I think the ones who criticize non-vegetarians for killing and eating living things are hypocrits. Everything we eat was alive at some point or could become alive regardless of whether or not it is plant or animal. That spinach or lettuce you just ate was just as alive as the turkey I ate for lunch yesterday.

3 Cheers for Vomiting [Feb. 18th, 2004|01:57 am]

[music |Information Society: "White Roses"]

Yeah, I drank WAY too fucking much last night. Trying to sleep for more than 2 hours was impossible because I fealt like absolute hell as soon as sobriety took its hold. You know, one of those times where the only way you'll feel better is if you induce vomiting. In my case, that wasn't very difficult.
Thankfully the hang over lost its vitality by the time I arrived at my dental appointment. I'd hate to feel nauseous while some lady is shoving her latex-gloved hand in my mouth.

I heard some good music. I saw some videos I hadn't seen before too. The videos for "Heaven or Las Vegas" by Cocteau Twins and "Imagination" by Xymox stick out the most in my mind. I heard some Cure and Siouxsie as well. Some of last night is blurry from all of the alcohol that was consumed, so I don't recall all of it. However, I do know that I danced to a lot of great 80's music.

To those that I saw whom I consider friends, I am sorry if I was very distant. Sometimes I am either too nervous, feeling too reclusive, or just flat out don't have anything to say. I have my outgoing moments as far as socializing goes. However, they only seem to be good for starting things up, not making them last.

I don't want to sober up.

What's worse than a rockstar who commits suicide?
A rockstar that never happened who commits suicide.

I know I am not the only one who wishes that he could turn it all around just by snapping his fingers.

Drama keeps life interesting. However, drama in high doses can be lethal.

You know that even though some of these presidential canidates will be better than Bush, they still will be full of their own lies and bullshit. They still will break at least some of their promises. It's not about who is better, it's about who is better at lying.

You don't try to pull a guilt trip on someone or make that person compliment the way you look when you know you have fucked that person over. There is NO excuse for it. No amount of apologetic crying will change what has happened.
